A visual archive by Narotam — independent photographer working at the intersection of editorial portraiture, cultural reportage, and the quiet drama of waning light.
My work begins where most photographers stop looking — in the half-light of a temple at dawn, in the breath a model takes between poses, in the moment a silhouette becomes a story. I work primarily in available light, with patience as my only reliable tripod.
Trained as a documentary photographer and trained again, more slowly, by every commission since, I move between editorial portraiture, heritage reportage, and commercial still life. Across all of it, one thing holds: the conviction that the best photographs are not made — they are waited for.
